In working with individuals at my office, I talk to them about the ways in which they can care for themselves and their health in order to prevent and heal illness. There are many ways in which they can make a difference. There are many basic health concepts that most individuals do not follow and understand. For example, most individuals do not understand that they are not providing their systems with adequate nutrition to maintain health on a daily basis. Their bodies are basically starving for proper nutrients, and they don’t know it. With inadequate nutrition contributing to vitamin and mineral deficiencies there is little energy in the body to promote healing and wellness or even keep the basic body functions going on a regular basis. Without proper nutrients your body can’t run! It can’t heal! And it can’t be well! In this state many of the following symptoms may arise: fatigue, aches and pains, headaches, irritability, poor memory, constipation, rashes, poor sleep, depression, slow healing, congestion, allergies and tension.
Natural health approaches have easily treated and alleviated many of these symptoms by eliminating most importantly the cause of the imbalance and not just the symptoms. True healing occurs when there is a reestablishment of the inner harmony and balance and healing not only on the physical level, but on emotional, mental and spiritual levels as well. Unless the health of the whole person is addressed, symptoms may often return because the healing is not complete.
