Education:

    1963-1967 Syracuse University School of Art Syracuse, NY. Majored in Fine Arts and Textile Design

    1978-1982 International College of Natural Health Sciences - Bemidji, Minnesota - Graduated with a degree as a Naturopathic Doctor with focuses in Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy, Preventive Health Care, Massage Therapy, Stress Control and Rejuvenation Techniques and Body-Mind Therapies

    1984-1986 Training in Trager Bodywork for Practitioner status. Trainings have continued until the present time for holding Practitioner status.

    1987 Hospice Volunteer Training

    1989-1992 University of New Hampshire - Durham, New Hampshire - Graduated with a Bachelors in Liberal Arts with Major in Social Work. (They did not at that time have a BSW degree program)

    1991-1992 Internship at The Center of Hope in Redstone, NH Carrol County Area XI for Developmental Disabilities in affilliation with my degree program at UNH.

Professional Experience:

    1979-1983 Designed, organized and facilitated Holistic Health Weekend Seminars held annually in June.

    1982 Opened The Center for Natural Health in Conway, NH

    1978 -1983 / 1988-1992 Hatha Yoga instructor at various local health clubs and for different groups and organizations.

    1991-1993 Developed and coordinated an experimental program for The Center of Hope. As director of the program trained and directed 15 volunteers and one assistant in a program that ran 9 hours a day, 7 days a week ongoing in working with one autistic 26 year old male client. The program was very successful and produced measurable results. It was discontinued due to lack of funding.

    1982-1999 Teacher, Lecturer, Educator and Facilitator Presented lectures to various groups, organizations, schools and colleges on many aspects of holistic health, well-being and approaches to natural healing. Some of the following topics were presented: Stress Reduction, Weight Loss, Sports and Herbal Medicine, Massage Therapy, Preventive Health Care, Healing Naturally, Meditation, Juice Fasting, Relaxation Techniques and "Life is an Opportunity" Programs (Creative life- enhancing programs that I designed and have taught since 1992).

    In 1995 I was a speaker for the "Governor's Council on Tourism for which I was sponsored by Blue Cross & Blue Shield, I have spoken at many Holistic Health Fairs, Daniel Webster College, Weight Watcher Programs, Conventions at the Mt. Washington Hotel,, Loon Mt. Resort and at Business and Professional WomenÕs meetings. I have spoken on radio programs and "Talk Shows".

Volunteer Positions:

    1983-1988 Board member of the White Mt. Waldorf Association, and member of the group that started the first Waldolf pre-school and kindergarten in our area. A section of my house was donated for classroom use for the schoolÕs first few years until another space was located.

    1988-1996 Volunteer instructor for ESSC Junior Ski Program. A weekly program that is available in our valley for school children to learn to ski.

Professional Organizations:
    1989-1999 New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NHAND) I worked with other doctors for 5 years to create, sponsor and pass the licensing Law for Naturopathic Doctors in the state of New Hampshire

    1997-1999 Member of Business & Professional Women's Group

Other Teaching Experience:

    1970-1974 Director of ESSC Jr. Ski Program in Mt. Washington Valley. Coordinator of 100+ volunteers and 500+ children.

    1974-1996 Involved with teaching skiing and ski racing to children. I worked as a Professional Race Coach at many ski areas in Mt. Washington Valley and especially enjoyed the teaching while working with many holistic philosophies in coaching. The winter of 1995-1996 one of the racers in my group was awarded with "Most Improved Racer" award.

Personal:

    As a mother of 3 boys I have been dedicated for years to providing an environment for my sons to grow up in which is loving, healthy and supportive. I am and have always been in excellent health I love the work that l do presently and I am dedicated to teaching individuals about their options in holistic health care. I am presently writing a book called "Life is an Opportunity" and I produce and sell relaxation & meditation audio tapes to clients. I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping, biking, relaxing at the river, nature walks, reading and daily meditations. Teaching is one of the aspects of my life that l enjoy most.

Recent Professional Experience:

    January 1997 - December 1997 Faculty member of College for Lifelong Learning (CLL) in affiliation with the University System of New Hampshire. Taught "Topics in Alternative Health & Healing" for winter and fall semesters.

    March 1997 Teacher Conference & Enrichment Day at Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine. Keynote Speaker - "Alternative Healing & Wellness".

    November 1, 1997 Presenter at The Women, Wellness & Wisdom Day at Mt. Valley Mall sponsored by The Memorial Hospital in North Conway NH

    November 20,1997 Lecturer/Presenter at the 1997 NH Association of Health, Physical Education Recreation & Dance --- Fall Conference. "Holistic Health for the Whole Person"

    January 14, 1998 Lecture & Discussion for BPW (Business and Professional Women) in North Conway "WomenÕs Health Issues & Healing Naturally"

    March 98 - March 99 First year of training in "Guided Self-Healing with Andrew H. Hahn, Licensed Clinical Psychologist. This cutting edge work and training for Trauma Resolution and Personality Integration has been written up in many newspapers and is currently offering training programs around the US. It is in process of being integrated into school systems. It has proven effective with deep-seated emotional disturbances including phobias, addictions, anxiety and depression as well as physical problems such as pain syndromes, multiple allergies, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.

    November 7, 1998 Lecture/Presentation for the Fourth Annual Direct Support Workers Conference for the Developmental Disabilities Council of New Hampshire. Lecture entitled "Healing with Holistic Therapies"

    November 7 & 8 Participant in "Wellness Symposium" in Jackson, NH presented by the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce.

    November 20, 1998 Lecture for the 1998 New Hampshire Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Fall Conference. Lecture entitled: "Improving and Enhancing Recovery of Sports Injuries"

    January 1999 Licensed as a Naturopathic Doctor in the state of New Hampshire.

    February 9, 1999 Lecture for Fryeburg Rotary Breakfast Meeting in Fryeburg, Maine. "Alternative Health and its Importance in Your Life. ',

    March l999-Sept. 2000 Second year of training with "Guided Self-Healing". Certification upon completion in one year.

    April, 1999 Lecture presentation for Bridgton Hospital (Maine) on "Holistic Approaches to Health".

    April 10, 1999 Lecture/Presentation for Androscoggin Valley Hospital * "Women's Wellness Day" at NH Community Technical College Presentation entitled "Living a Life of Ease: Methods for Reducing Stress and Enjoying Your Life".
